DentWorx — Paintless Dent Repair
How it works

How Paintless Dent Repair Works

PDR is metal-shaping, not bodywork. We access the back of the panel and massage the steel or aluminum back to its original shape — your factory paint never moves.

How Paintless Dent Repair Works

What we deliver

  • Inspect under reflection lighting
  • Access the panel (door cards, fender liners, headlights as needed)
  • Work the dent from the inside with rod tooling, or pull from outside with glue tabs
  • Final pass under flat-line reflection — invisible repair or it's not done

How it works for how it works

Every job starts with a free inspection under reflection lighting to map the damage. From there, the specifics depend on your panel and the damage pattern, but the principle never changes: restore the metal, preserve the paint, and verify the repair under flat-line lighting.

Insurance and warranty

All PDR work carries our lifetime warranty. For comprehensive, vandalism, or hail claims, we can work with your carrier and help document the damage.

What is paintless dent repair?

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is the technique of reshaping a damaged body panel from the back, returning it to its original contour without sanding, filler, or repainting. The factory paint stays exactly as it left the assembly line.

How long does PDR take?

Most single dings are completed in 30–60 minutes. Body line and crease dents typically take 2–4 hours. Large dents and hail jobs can run from a day to a week depending on volume.

Will my insurance cover it?

Yes — DentWorx works with all major insurance carriers. Hail damage, vandalism, and most comprehensive claims are covered, and we bill the carrier directly so you only pay your deductible (if any).

What if my car has paint damage too?

Paint damage doesn't disqualify a dent from PDR. We can still pop the metal back and then either touch up the paint or refer you to a paint shop. We'll always tell you up front what's possible and what isn't.

Is PDR permanent?

Yes. A properly executed PDR is permanent — the metal returns to its original shape and stays there. We back our work with a lifetime warranty on the repair.

Will it hurt my car's resale value?

PDR actually preserves resale value because the factory paint is never disturbed. A panel that's been repainted will show on a paint-thickness gauge; a PDR-repaired panel won't.
