PDR Cost Guide · 2026

What does paintless dent repair actually cost?

Honest, transparent pricing for the Phoenix metro. Most single dings are $75–$250. Hail and large dents price differently — but you'll know the number before we touch your car.

2026 paintless dent repair pricing

PDR is priced by what's actually being repaired — not by panel, and not by an hourly bill. Three things determine the number:

  • Location — some panels are easier to access than others. A door dent that requires removing the door card costs more in labor than one we can reach from inside the door cavity.
  • Size — larger surface area = more massaging time. Sharp, deep, or "jagged" dents take longer than soft, round ones.
  • Sharpness — a soft, round dent may take 20 minutes; a sharp crease the same length can take 2 hours.

What follows is a real-world price band for the Phoenix metro, updated for 2026. Insurance work is billed at carrier rates and you pay your deductible only.

Why is PDR cheaper than a body shop?

A traditional body shop has to sand, fill, prime, paint, blend, and clear an entire panel — then wait for it to cure. That's 6–10 hours of labor and a couple hundred dollars in materials, plus your car for a week.

PDR is one technician, hand tools, and access to the back of the panel. Less labor. No materials. Same-day return. The result is usually 50–70% less than a comparable body-shop quote — and the factory paint stays exactly as the manufacturer applied it.

When is PDR not the right call?

We'll tell you on the spot if your dent is past PDR. The most common disqualifiers:

  • Paint is cracked, chipped, or scraped through to the metal
  • Sharp creases longer than 8–10" with significant stretching
  • Damage to a panel edge or seam
  • Plastic bumpers with broken clips behind them

In those cases we'll give you an honest referral to a body shop we trust. We don't sell PDR you don't need.

Does insurance pay for PDR?

Yes — for hail damage, vandalism, and most comprehensive claims. We bill the carrier directly. You pay your deductible (if any). We work with all major carriers including State Farm, Geico, Progressive, USAA, Allstate, Farmers, and Liberty Mutual.
