What is paintless dent repair?
Paintless dent repair (PDR) is the technique of restoring a body panel's original shape from the back, using long-rod tooling and glue tabs. Done correctly, the metal returns to its factory contour and the paint is never disturbed — no sanding, no filler, no respray.
For most parking-lot dings, factory-line dents, and hail damage, PDR is faster, cheaper, and better than traditional body work. It preserves the panel's original paint, which preserves your car's resale value on a paint-thickness gauge.

What is paintless dent repair?
Paintless dent repair (PDR) is the technique of reshaping a damaged body panel from the back, returning it to its original contour without sanding, filler, or repainting. The factory paint stays exactly as it left the assembly line.
How long does PDR take?
Most single dings are completed in 30–60 minutes. Body line and crease dents typically take 2–4 hours. Large dents and hail jobs can run from a day to a week depending on volume.
Will my insurance cover it?
Yes — DentWorx works with all major insurance carriers. Hail damage, vandalism, and most comprehensive claims are covered, and we bill the carrier directly so you only pay your deductible (if any).
What if my car has paint damage too?
Paint damage doesn't disqualify a dent from PDR. We can still pop the metal back and then either touch up the paint or refer you to a paint shop. We'll always tell you up front what's possible and what isn't.
Is PDR permanent?
Yes. A properly executed PDR is permanent — the metal returns to its original shape and stays there. We back our work with a lifetime warranty on the repair.
Will it hurt my car's resale value?
PDR actually preserves resale value because the factory paint is never disturbed. A panel that's been repainted will show on a paint-thickness gauge; a PDR-repaired panel won't.
